LONG ISLAND, NY - The Women's Global Championship Invitational kicked off into full gear while Adam Cole felt 'underwhelmed' prior to Kassius Ohno coming to blows with a returning former World Champion as the intensity continued as the road to Carnage: New Beginnings heats up!


Toni Storm defeats Mickie James to advance in the Women's Global Championship Invitational

WWE Producer Mickie James' first act was to initiate the Women's Global Championship Invitational, giving an opportunity to professional wrestlers around the world but she also felt that she had a lot left to give to the business so she threw her name in the hat and made it clear that 'the future' needed to go through her and the future indeed did so when the 9 time Women's Champion faced former NXT Women's Champion Toni Storm in the first match, which both women brought everything they had and more until Toni got the better of Mickie before connecting with 'Storm Zero' to pick up the win and advances in the tournament

Following the match, in a massive show of sportsmanship, Storm and James shook hands before Mickie raised the hand of Toni...The future is bright!

 

Adam Cole defeats Noam Dar

Competing in his first match since WrestleMania, Adam Cole looked to left some steam when he competed against Noam Dar and despite the Scottish Supernova bringing the fight to the leader of The Kingdom but Cole quickly changed that and connected with the Panama Sunrise before connecting with the Last Shot to pick up the decisive win.

Following the match, not pleased with the match that he was given, Adam Cole made it quite clear that he's either given 'elite' competition or The Kingdom will be leaving the WWE

Big E Langston defeats Kassius Ohno to qualify for King of the Ring

As the anticipation for the pending King of the Ring tournament continues to grow, the qualifying matches have spilled over to Saturday Nights as Kassius Ohno battled the returning Big E Langston for a spot in the illustrious and career changing tournament. Despite the surprise, the Knockout Genius found a way to take the fight to the former World Heavyweight Champion but that wasn't enough to keep the Powerhouse down as he pulled out all the stops before finally putting this one to bed with a 'Big Ending' to secure his spot in the tournament! This latest edition has shaken up the field quite a bit, especially for old foe Kevin Owens in the same tournament.
