Carnage Results: Episode 17

Io Shirai defeats "Karen"

Seven nights after she sent shockwaves throughout the division when she took out Women's Champion Bianca Belair following her battle with Rhea Ripley at Carnage: Gold Rush, the No.1 Contender Io Shirai made quick work of her opponent to start her road to WrestleMania strong but her celebration was short lived with a livid Bianca delivered a message via the titantron with a simple message of "What happens next is on you" leaving us with more questions then answers.

Rusev with Lana defeats Shane Thorne

During that shocking conclusion of Carnage: Gold Rush, Rusev revealed his true colors - he was never at odds with The Rebellion, he was a distraction - and now that he is back in the fold once again as "The Bat-Man", The Brute competed in his first match since he lost the WWE Championship at Survivor Series last November and it was in dominant fashion before finally putting his opponent away with The Accolade which was "Game Over" for Shane Thorne!

The Rock challenges Rusev to a match at WrestleMania

Rusev and Lana's celebration was short lived when The Rock returned for the first time since Survivor Series - albeit via the titantron - The Great One held no punches talking about Lana or Rusev before laying down the challenge, a one-on-one match on the Grandest Stage of Them All - WrestleMania: Atlanta in a match that has been building since Rusev cost Rock his job back at SummerSlam. Rusev gladly accepted and the stage is set for these two bulls to clash in the Mercedes Benz Stadium

Pete Dunne calls out Daniel Bryan; Apollo Crews and Dunne agree to a change to their main event match?

A furious Pete Dunne stormed to the ring and proceeded to call out the man who organized the assault on him last week - Daniel Bryan - for a fight but got another victim of The Rebellion's attack, WWE World Heavyweight Champion and Dunne's WrestleMania opponent Apollo Crews, who also has a bone to pick with Bryan and both men got their wish - kinda - Daniel Bryan delivered a message via the tron and proceeded to propose a Triple Threat match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania if both men want their chance at revenge and they both agreed which pleased the leader of The Rebellion and that was prelude to another sneak attack by recently revealed new members of The Rebellion - FTR - but their onslaught only lasted just a bit before a one off union saw Dunne lay out Dax Harwood with the Bitter End and Crews lay out Cash Wheeler with the "Ball-Game". Dunne didn't get what he want tonight but he has another way to let out his anger

British Strong Style defeats Chris Jericho, Jake Hager and Walter

After the melee involving The Rebellion, Pete Dunne had little time to prepare for the 6-Man Tag Team match where he reunited with Moustache Mountain (Tyler Bate and Trent Seven) for the first time in a year to take on old rivals in Chris Jericho, Jake Hager and a mystery partner (originally suppose to be Eric Young but he wasn't medically cleared) so out came another old foe in Walter. The last time Dunne saw him, he eliminated the Ring General from the Men's Royal Rumble match.

Both teams exchanged offense but the big mistake by Chris Jericho - disrespecting Walter - cost his team the match which saw Jericho hit with the Bitter End for BSS to pick up the win.

Following the match Jericho got in Walter's face but was laid out with a Powerbomb, Jericho might have made a big mistake

Cedric Alexander defeats Hideo Itami under "Golden Rules" to win the WWE World Television Championship

For nearly 2 months, Hideo Itami has brought a different vibe to the Television Championship - "Work for it"! - After successful title defenses against the likes of Tommaso Ciampa, Chad Gable and Bronson Reed, Itami entered this match looking to bring out the best in the brash Cedric Alexander and that he did, both men brought their A-Game and both men looked to go at it for nearly 30 minutes but Itami's back gave out when he was going for the GTS and that was the opening Alexander needed when he connected with two back to back Lumbar Checks before connecting with a Frog Splash to pin Itami for the first time since his return at the Rumble and leave as the NEW Television Champion!

Prime Time Alexander is upon us!

Daniel Bryan's "State of The Rebellion" Address was interrupted by a returning Vince McMahon and Brock Lesnar

Feeling extremely proud of his actions last week and earlier in the night, Daniel Bryan entered to a chorus of boos with the ring surrounded by fellow Rebellion members - minus Rusev and Lana who left the arena - Rubbing in the fact that he fooled all of us into thinking there were friction in The Rebellion but that was just a distraction while their founder Shawn Michaels found a way to get Daniel Bryan into the WWE World Championship match at WrestleMania

The address was short-lived when a returning Vince McMahon cut off Bryan and revealed that WWE's legal team found a loophole in the Survivor Series contract (where if Team Rebellion won, Vince McMahon could no longer be Chairman/CEO) and it was figured out that the contract saw Daniel Bryan sign on the dotted line representing Team WWE as opposed to Team Rebellion (where he revealed his true colors, feigned injury and pinned Triple H) therefore while the result stands, the consequences do not and Vince McMahon has been reinstated as Chairman/CEO (at least until WrestleMania) and with this news the Boss cuts loose with announcements, first off removing Bryan from the WWE World Championship main event at WrestleMania, announcing Aleister Black vs. Hideo Itami in a street fight (due to Black injuring Itami last September), Daniel Bryan and Rusev vs. Apollo Crews and Pete Dunne in a No DQ Tornado Tag Team match for next week and then proceed to announce two huge matches for Mania - Aleister Black vs. Triple H one more time in a "I Quit" match and Daniel Bryan vs. a returning Brock Lesnar (who re-signed with the company) and that's when all hell broke loose.

Brock entered the arena and ran through Zack Ryder, Chad Gable and Wade Barrett before staring down Black and Bryan but then from behind Shane McMahon attacked Black with a kendo stick and left Bryan alone with The Beast and after a moment in the face of Bryan and fighting off another attack from Wade Barrett, Brock side stepped a Knee Plus and laid out the leader with a F-5

Looking to rub it in, Vince McMahon closed out by stating "WrestleMania will indeed be the Fall of The Rebellion!"
